Pipe Fitter TIG Welder - Process Pipework
Location: Birmingham, B30 2PF.
Hours: Monday - Friday 7.30am - 16.00pm
The company provides a variety of high-quality mechanical engineering services from process engineering and asset maintenance and repair to feasibility, concept, design, manufacturing, and installation. They understand the challenges faced by their clients and provide services that maximise performance and minimise disruption. With mechanical installation contracts ranging in value from a few thousand to many millions of pounds for clients including Nestle, Coors, BASF, and Britvic, they have experience of completing complex mechanical projects spanning a range of industries including food and beverage, brewing and distilling, pharmaceutical, chemical, and industrial. This is an excellent opportunity for a Pipe Fitter TIG Welder - Process Pipework to join the company's Birmingham office, supporting a variety of projects across the West Midlands.
Duties
As a suitably qualified and experienced pipe fitter welder, you will be working within food and beverage production facilities across the West Midlands. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Fabricating, butt welding, and installing 1" to 4" OD thin wall stainless steel pipework.
2. Working with schedule 10 stainless steel pipework up to 4" diameter and stainless-steel high-pressure steam lines.
3. Installing all brackets and associated supports.
4. Assisting other pipe fitter welders and mechanical fitters as necessary.
About You
Based ideally in the West Midlands, you will need to live within a commutable distance of B30 2PF. Demonstrable experience of pipe-fitting and stainless steel TIG butt welding within a food, drink, or petrochemical processing environment is essential for this role. You'll also need to have good all-round welding experience, ideally with current or previous TIG coding.
