A skilled Pre-Contracts Manager with expertise in electrical projects is needed to join a leading electrical contracting company based on the Kent/East Sussex borders. About the Role This role involves overseeing the pre-contracts phase for a variety of CAT A and CAT B office fit-out projects. The successful candidate will lead tenders, manage design submissions, and liaise with clients to deliver tailored electrical solutions. Working closely with a dynamic team of Contracts Directors and Project Managers, you will ensure that all submissions and projects meet the highest standards. Key Responsibilities Lead tenders for projects received from clients. Produce detailed cost plans based on project requirements. Meet clients to understand project needs, attend tender interviews, and participate in coordination meetings. Conduct site surveys and liaise with subcontractors. Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliant submissions. Manage electrical design submissions in collaboration with the CAD team and designers. Produce technical submittals for secured projects. Develop business with new and existing clients. Review bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Manage tender return dates and repricing as per client expectations. Oversee the handover of secured projects to the project management team. Attend internal project review meetings with the project management team. Work on multiple CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects simultaneously. Essential Skills and Experience At least 2 years’ experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager, or in a Pre-Construction role. Familiarity with Design and Build office fit-out works. Proven track record of managing project costs effectively. BS7671:2018 18th Edition certification. Gold or Black ECS Card holder. C&G NVQ Level 3 or higher. HNC in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (preferred). Experience in Design and Build CAT A/B office fit-outs.
