Person Specification: We are looking for candidates with:
* 3+ GCSEs including English (must have certificates)
* Call centre or similar experience
* Experience working in a pressurised environment, demonstrating the ability to make fast-paced decisions while providing excellent care and advice.
* The ability to work on your own initiative within a team, effective verbal communication skills, and computer literacy are essential.
Main Duties of the Job: Based at the Emergency Operations Centre in Nottingham, you will receive 999 and urgent calls from the public and Health Service colleagues. You will prioritise calls according to agreed protocols and provide pre-arrival advice. Shift durations can be up to 12 hours, including night shifts, as we operate 24/7, 365 days a year, including public holidays like Christmas and New Year.
Application Process: Successful applicants will be invited to an online assessment on 17/12/24. Following a successful assessment, you will be invited to an interview on 18/12/24. The start date for successful applicants will likely be January/February. Training will be 5 weeks full-time, followed by approximately 8 mentoring shifts. Due to the training period, successful candidates wishing to apply for part-time positions will need to commit to full-time hours. Annual leave is restricted during training, and some elements may be virtual or off-site.
