ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Technical Officer
The Technical officer is there to Assist and provide general technical & administrative support to the site Technical Controller and site management team as required.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Key tasks of the role include, but are not limited to –
• Create, organize and control documentation in the Food Safety & Quality Manual
• Be an active member of the site HACCP Team.
• Be an integral member of the site Crisis Management Team, supporting the site in EWE’s and traceability challenges.
• Organise equipment calibration and servicing in accordance with site compliance. Maintain the QA calibration schedule.
• Support the Hygiene Manager in maintaining the site chemical register.
• Organise and manage the site BRC internal audit program. Liaise with sites internal auditing team to ensure program compliance.
• Complete internal audits, compile audit reports, identify corrective actions and close out of non-conformances
• Provide support to the Technical Controller when reviewing third party audit standards and compiling gap analysis
• Act as a key team member in hosting, presenting and providing information during third party audits and internal assessments.
• Collate, monitor and trend environmental, finished product, allergen and water results.
• Work as part of the QA & Technical team providing a visible and effective service to the plant by completing administrative duties, organising events, filing, note taking, data inputting and generating reports.

• Working to deadlines
• Working within a customer facing manufacturing environment
• Working with people from a range of different backgrounds – Essential
• Microsoft Office Suite, specifically excel
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Working knowledge of stock/warehouse management systems
• Food Safety and HACCP Level 2
• Good organisation skills and knows how to priortise
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments
• Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances
• Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet objectives
• Creating a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives

Our Hull plant is where we make all our cheesy appetizers, and even if you think you haven’t tasted our products before, because of our large portfolio of foodservice establishments, it’s likely you probably have! Our small, but perfectly formed team of around 130 make everything from halloumi fries to chilli cheese nuggets.
