This position is based at our Head Office. You must live within a reasonable distance to the office or be willing to relocate by the role commencement date.
As a key member of our digital marketing team, you'll own the day-to-day operation of the email channel for The Entertainer and Early Learning Centre. Working with a range of stakeholders in the marketing, trading and online teams, and under the direction of the Digital Marketing Manager, you'll use your knowledge of CRM to drive customer engagement via timely, personalised and relevant communications.
The role requires a flexible person who can understand changing business requirements and enjoys a mix of being hands on while being able to oversee the development of the channel. With a commercial mindset, they'll know what good looks like when it comes to CRM and email marketing, with the confidence to bring fresh ideas to the table that will persuade more people to choose to buy from our much-loved brands.
Skills & Experience
1. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
2. Potential to manage, lead, develop and coach a junior team member.
3. Full UK, valid driver’s licence.
4. Good knowledge of CRM/email marketing tools.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Working knowledge of analytics packages (Google/Adobe).
7. Previous user of graphic design software (Illustrator/Photoshop).
8. Ability to manage multiple workstreams, priority planning.
9. 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within a retail business.
10. Highly organised and able to use spreadsheets to manage calendars and report on performance.
11. Experience working with agencies and solutions providers.
12. Experience of working alongside affiliate marketing and paid search managers.
13. Degree-level qualification or equivalent.
Responsibilities
14. Devise, maintain and adapt an email schedule designed to help the business achieve goals related to online sales, customer engagement and overall growth.
15. Create compelling email content for a range of audiences.
16. Analyse performance and report on success and learnings to the wider online community during trading sessions.
17. Ensure accuracy and relevancy of communications and maintain health of the current CRM/ platform Emarsys.
18. Identify areas of improvement related to content, ways of working, data or technical development.
19. Design and manage triggered email programmes.
20. Manage 3rd party relationships with external agencies to drive performance and continuously improve the channels.
21. Align with internal stakeholders across the business, build working relationships.
22. Ensure CRM fully supports brand and commercial initiatives.
23. Ensure we are legally compliant through GDPR.
24. Identify and keep your finger on the pulse across trends and opportunities, utilising and building on them, to drive future campaigns.
25. Manage stakeholder expectations to ensure success of email as a channel for The Entertainer and Early Learning Centre.
26. Support with artwork briefing and execution with suppliers/internal teams.
