The Role
We are hiring for an Assistant Planner to join our fantastic pre-construction team in Leeds. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation, coordination, and management of project schedules.
What you will be doing as the Assistant Planner:
Project Scheduling:
Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using Asta Powerproject.
Data Analysis:
Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and support the preparation of reports for senior planners and project managers.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with the operations team to collect data and provide updates on project timelines.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of project plans, schedules, and milestones, ensuring all changes are documented and communicated effectively.
Risk Identification:
Support the identification of project risks and propose solutions to mitigate potential schedule impacts.
Resource Management:
Assist in the coordination of resources to align with project requirements and timelines.
Compliance:
Ensure all planning activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
Who we are looking for:
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.
Experience:
* Previous experience in construction planning, project coordination, or a similar role is advantageous.
Technical Proficiency:
* Proficient with planning software (e.g., Asta Powerproject) and a solid understanding of construction methodologies and processes.
Organizational Skills:
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Communication:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Problem-Solving:
* Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve scheduling challenges proactively.
