We are currently looking for a skilled Injection Moulding Setter Operator on behalf of our client to provide technical support to production operations through processes from material handling, mould set up, machine operation and general processing, ensuring machines are running to optimal performance. RESPONSIBILITIES: Installing mould tools within machines ensuring that tool changes are carried out in a safe and efficient manner. Accurately setting machines to recorded settings to ensure they are running efficiently and in accordance with the costed cycle times. Monitoring cycle times against target cycle times on a regular basis, ensuring deviations are identified and rectified in a timely manner. Troubleshoot issues encountered during a production run to maintain the production of good high-quality parts. Ensuring first off samples are approved and understanding the importance of the first off samples, meeting both visual and dimensional specifications prior to production release Ensure production outputs are achieved on time and in full. Checking quality standards are always adhered to by checking the product for defects during the machine start up and making relevant process changes. Conducting material and colour changes as dictated by the production schedule. Fault finding and rectifying injection moulding processing problems in a timely manner to maintain quality and minimise scrap levels. Ensure that machines and surrounding work areas are clean and in a tidy state at all times. Adhering to all local health and safety guidelines. To report any problems with machines to the relevant responsible persons immediately. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE At least 5 years’ experience in working with injection moulding machines and knowledge of setting machines, including (but not limited to): Battenfeld, Arburg, Boy. Good verbal and written communication skills. Computer skills. Manual handling experience. Ability to read and interpret drawings. Desirable: Previous industry/sector experience. IMT level 2 or higher. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, Friday 1pm finish
