About You:
As a key member of the Water Consultancy business, your role as P6 Planner is critical to helping us deliver great projects for our Water Industry clients. You will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of water project experts on a range of capital delivery projects.
You will have a substantial opportunity to contribute to the success of optioneering, outline and detailed design projects across the North West. Our scope of work encompasses a wide range of technically demanding projects in the field of Wastewater Infrastructure that require strong project controls.

Your Responsibilities:
1. As a P6 Planner, you will be responsible for working independently in the planning function of utility projects. This will include the production, updating, and monitoring of programmes using Primavera P6 under NEC 3&4 Forms of Contract.
2. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 software.
3. Coordinate input into the programme from the construction team and take the lead on programme development.
4. Ensure the production of up-to-date programmes throughout the duration of projects using P6.
5. Review construction progress with input from the project team and produce reports as necessary.
6. Highlight areas of concern in the construction progress and review mitigation measures with the project team; including compensation events, the cause and effect that this will have.
7. Assist Project Teams with planning-related matters and attend meetings with project teams and clients.
8. Be responsible for collation of progress information and production of progress reporting as required.
9. Create, update, and maintain comprehensive project schedules in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
10. Conduct Project Controls, including cost forecasting, earned value management, risk assessment, and change control.
11. Provide Schedule Analysis and Reporting.
12. Prepare and deliver regular project progress reports and analysis.
13. Collaborate with Project Teams to provide scheduling advice, support change management, and resolve scheduling issues.
14. Ensure Data Accuracy and Integrity.
15. Provide Programme Manager with monthly reporting.
16. Ability to work at Lingley Mere (Warrington) a minimum of three days per week.
17. Ability to travel to multiple sites as and when the Client requires this. Noting - two of the main sites are in Kendal and Warrington.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
1. Expert user of Primavera P6 software.
2. A detailed understanding of infrastructure projects, how they are designed, constructed, and commissioned.
3. Able to accurately define project schedules and plan with clarity.
4. Deep understanding of Project Control principles and techniques, including proficiency in budget and spend management, change control, data analysis, and trend analysis.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
7. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
8. Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
Qualifications:
1. APMG Project Planning & Control Foundation and Practitioner.
2. Valid UK driving licence.
