We have an immediate opening in our York location for a Production Supervisor in our mechanical assembly unit. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating activities of workers engaged in manufacturing processes of Environmental Control Units (ECUs).
Responsibilities
* Supervises the daily work activities and overall performance management of assigned production team.
* Participates in the hiring process.
* Reconciles and approves timesheets for payroll processing and project accounting.
* Completes performance evaluations for all direct reports.
* Monitors quality of incoming raw materials and finished products.
* Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
* Interprets or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
* Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists production workers in solving work problems.
* Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
* Ensures products are manufactured and assembled in compliance with approved workmanship standards and work instructions, and ensures product quality and customer satisfaction.
* Performs hands-on work as needed, including fabrication, testing, brazing, and soldering.
* Follows all company rules and policies, including those related to ITAR/Export guidelines.

Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Associate’s degree from a 2-year college or technical school; or 2-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Technical and fabrication skills extremely desirable.
* Good verbal and written skills essential.
* Must portray leadership ability and persuasiveness.
* Good computer skills.
* Prior work supervision or training experience is helpful.
