At Lothian Pension Fund (LPF), we administer the local government pension scheme (LGPS) in Edinburgh and the Lothians and are one of approximately a hundred LGPS funds in the UK. We are advertising for an Information Security Governance Analyst to join our IT & Change department, on a permanent basis. The Information Security Governance Analyst will support the Head of IT and Change to ensure LPF's Information Security governance and controls are maintained and developed, including the Information Security Management System and third-party security assurance processes.
The Role
The Information Security Governance Analyst will be responsible for:
1. Develop and maintain the information security management system, procedures and guidance, ensuring alignment with global security standards and regulatory expectations.
2. Develop and deliver a programme of planned compliance activities and risk assessments.
3. Identify and mitigate security risks and address gaps, including implementation of training and awareness.
4. Work with internal stakeholders to develop relationships to help promote and improve information security and provide security advice on procurements, projects and new initiatives as required.
5. Maintain a good working knowledge of emerging security trends, risks, new guidance or standards (internal and external) and security enhancing technologies.
6. Provide advice and support to colleagues as part of the small IT team.
What experience are we looking for?
The following requirements are essential for this role:
* Experience of successfully implementing or managing information security management systems and security risks.
* Experience of working in regulated environments, ideally within UK financial services.
* Strong stakeholder management & engagement skills (internally & third parties).
* A good working knowledge of ISO27001 (desirable).
* Previous experience of IT support (desirable).
* Clean basic vetting checks.
