A well-established research and development business is looking for a Graduate Embedded & Electronics Engineer (to start Jun-Sept 2025) to join their team in Maidenhead, Berkshire. The Graduate Embedded & Electronics Engineer will be a key member of the R&D team, investigating new technologies and developing the next generation of emergency communication products that are used globally to keep people safe in their day-to-day lives. You will work closely with teams both in Maidenhead and overseas.
Key responsibilities of the Graduate Embedded & Electronics Engineer job:
* Design and develop products across the whole lifecycle of electronics, both embedded software (approx. 80%) and hardware (approx. 20%)
* Write embedded firmware in C on a variety of microcontrollers (Raspberry Pi, STM32, and PIC)
* Develop automated test scripts and interface with hardware (C# and Python)
* Collaborate with the team on ideas that solve real customer problems and pain points and provide insight into market opportunities through competitor research, customer insights, etc.
* Ensure products are designed for manufacture and develop production test procedures and equipment
Key skills / requirements of the Graduate Embedded & Electronics Engineer job:
* A minimum of a 2:1 degree in Electronics Engineering, or a similar degree that covers both embedded software and electronics development
* A passion for engineering with a focus on embedded software/firmware
