Role: Speech & Language Therapist Banding: Band 6 Location: Liverpool Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week (Part-time or term-time only will be considered) Salary: £28,411.5- £45,000 per annum The AHP team at Pulse is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech & Language Therapist to join our team in Liverpool to maximise communication potential for children and young people through direct and indirect assessment and intervention, contributing to the success of the Communicate SLT team. Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist: You will provide speech and language therapy services to children, directly and through support to their families and the multi-disciplinary team. You will conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for pupils/prospective pupils in consultation with the multi-disciplinary team and other SLTs and SLTAs. You will keep accurate records and provide written reports. You will set targets for therapy and monitor progress. You will provide intervention on an individual or group basis as required. You will develop and demonstrate SLT programmes and groups for pupils. You will hold responsibility for your own caseload, working without direct supervision. You will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, contributing to the planning, development, and delivery of an effective and efficient service. You will liaise with other involved agencies and families to provide an integrated service. You will support SLT student placements. You will contribute to the induction of others in the SEN and wider Education team. You will facilitate clinical case discussions. You will access clinical supervision within the team via regular meetings, supervision, mentoring, and appraisals. You will commit to continuing professional development. You will make independent decisions about caseload management. You will support the delivery of training programmes to others and contribute to the development of training. You will contribute to the evaluation and monitoring of services. What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist: Speech and Language Therapy Degree or Masters Experience working with children who have complex needs, their families, and the multi-agency team Registration with RCSLT and HCPC Respect for confidential information Enhanced DBS applied for by Communicate SLT CIC following appointment Commitment to Communicates mission, vision, and values Motivation to work with children who have complex needs within educational settings Skilled at giving and receiving positive and critical feedback to colleagues Training relevant to client group (e.g., PECS, Elklan Total Training package for children and adults with ASD / 0-25 with complex needs) Why work with Pulse?
