In collaboration with your manager and other team members, you will
implement strategies and plans to support continuous improvement of public health outcomes from the commissioned national programmes.
· Depending on experience and working pattern, the post holder may have responsibility for specific immunisation or screening programmes or a mixture of both, under the supervision of your manager, and will be expected to work as part of team to ensure coordinated and integrated delivery of individual programmes and team priorities. Programme responsibilities may change according to the needs of the service.
· Day to day line management will be provided by the SIC or SIM.
Postholders with a clinical background are able to maintain clinical registration within this role., · Work collaboratively with providers and commissioners in primary care to understand service challenges and support providers to deliver safe, high quality and equitable screening and immunisation services in line with national programme requirements.
· Cascade national guidance, evidence and learning from incidents
· Ensure providers of programmes in your portfolio, identify, report and manage incidents and serious incidents in line with national guidance, with support from team members.
· Contribute to public health and performance improvement of screening and immunisation programmes.
· Participate in relevant working groups and provide public health advice, and support where requested.
· Work with public health colleagues, providers and members of the Team to investigate the causes of any variance from plan and proactively contribute to the implementation of solutions.
+ To act as a champion for patients and their interests and involve the public and patients in the policy development and decision-making of NHS England.
