The Field Service Engineer is responsible for supporting revenue growth by identifying and submitting qualified leads, while maintaining relationships and representing Cytiva while at customer sites. The FSE will perform work on customer instruments while following all EHS & Quality procedures.
This position reports to the Area Service Manager and is part of the Biotechnology Integrated Solutions organization and will be field-based with travel covering Washington, D.C. to Baltimore, MD and surrounding areas.
What you will do:
1. Perform installation, qualification, routine maintenance, and repairs of instruments at customer sites.
2. Responsible for administrative tasks of scheduling service, completing documentation, and maintaining inventory.
3. Engage as part of a wider customer-facing team including but not limited to Customer Care, Service Sales, and Account Managers.
Successful candidate will possess:
1. Working knowledge of calibrated tools, hand tools, and power tools.
2. Outstanding communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to provide an exceptional internal or external customer experience.
Who you are:
* Background in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electronics, or any related STEM experience. This can come from a Bachelor's degree, Associate’s degree, military experience, or an equivalent technical education or 2+ years of professional experience. (Senior engineers encouraged to apply to be considered at a higher level).
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
1. Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
2. This position requires flying and/or driving travel, which may potentially include up to 50% overnight stays. Travel will primarily be domestic but may occasionally be international.
3. Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise and/or place up to 50lbs. Ability to stand, walk (prolonged), and sit; squat and kneel, ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
1. Working experience in an environment that follows GxP guidelines.
2. Strong IT skills relating to Networking and Automation.
3. Working knowledge of electronics and electricity.

Compensation:
The annual salary range for this role is $63,000.00 - $73,000.00 ($30.29 - $35.10/hrly). This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
