Join our Vodafone Business Technology Solutions team, where we support businesses of all sizes with world-class technology solutions. We design and develop our Fixed Line solutions, drive efficiency through automation and AI, and implement it all directly with our customers.
What you’ll do
Are you ready to lead large, complex, customer-facing projects and make a significant impact? As a Project Manager, you will deliver projects to time, cost, and quality criteria, operating within our established organisational delivery framework. This role is based at the customer site in Suffolk for three days a week, where you will collaborate closely with the customer and engineers.
You will:
1. Create detailed project plans encompassing all deliverables & ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
2. Manage change control using the appropriate processes.
3. Create and sustain collaborative working relationships across customers, suppliers, and internal delivery teams, whilst defining clear roles and responsibilities.
4. Maintain a project finance tracker and utilize change control for cost variation from original baselines.
5. Manage project billing milestones within the designated management reporting tool.
6. Have a complete understanding of change control governance and procedures.
7. Comply with Vodafone Project Delivery Framework methodology which is supported by industry project management standards such as PRINCE2 Practitioner.
8. Establish and maintain a ‘Risk and Issue’ register, whilst identifying new risks and responses as well as mitigation strategies throughout the lifecycle of projects.
Who you are
A self-motivated individual with good organisational, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
You should have:
1. Proven leadership and collaborative skills to manage cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
2. The ability to communicate in an accurate and concise manner to specific audiences, using varying tools and techniques.
3. A good understanding of common project management planning tools and methodologies.
4. Significant proven Project Management experience of managing large and complex projects.
5. Delivery experience spanning a varied, as well as multidisciplinary project environment.
6. Experience in the technology industry with expertise in the telecoms sector.
7. Experience of working in a challenging customer-facing service role and project environment.
8. Delivered projects into a regulated construction environment that requires a high level of Health & Safety when deploying solutions on site.
9. Confidence operating in a construction environment.
10. Experience of delivering products into a regulated environment.
Essential Qualifications:
1. PRINCE2 Practitioner
2. Eligible for SC clearance
3. CCNSG for onsite access
4. Willingness to obtain a “Black Hat” (non-working supervisor) qualification
