Job summary
Working within the Technical Accounting team, as Senior Manager - Technical Accounting for the BIL programme you will provide technical advice and support primarily in relation to the BIL Fund�s complex transactions but also across all Agency programmes and initiatives to ensure projects are accounted for correctly, preparing and reviewing reports and accounting papers to be utilised by staff with varying levels of accountancy knowledge.

There will be significant responsibility to ensure the annual accounts, with a Balance Sheet in excess of �20bn, are prepared on time, to standard, are free from material misstatements and are given a clean audit opinion.

Working with key senior stakeholders and a professional across Finance you will act as a trusted advisor to the BIL delivery team to both challenge proposals and provide consistent and robust financial advice.
Person specification
Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders across the Agency, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate. You'll be comfortable supporting the Head - Financial Reporting & Accounting with complex accounting issues and to be a key Finance contact for technical queries from staff across the Agency.

This role requires the post holder to have a recognised professional accountancy qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA� and be a member of professional accountancy body.
