Early Careers Consultant
Edinburgh (3-4 days in office)
Full Time, Permanent
Competitive salary + Excellent Benefits
Are you passionate about shaping the careers of early talent? Do you thrive in a high-touch, client-facing role where candidate experience is at the heart of everything you do? If so, we’re looking for an Early Careers Consultant to join a highly regarded organisation and play a key role in attracting and selecting top-tier talent for apprenticeship, graduate, and internship programmes.
Unlike high-churn, volume-based environments, this position offers a bespoke, high-touch approach, with a strong focus on candidate experience.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing creative marketing and attraction strategies, ensuring a strong employer brand presence across schools, universities, and industry events.
* Leading on application screening, interview processes, and assessment centres, ensuring a smooth and engaging candidate journey.
* Partnering closely with hiring managers and business leaders to understand hiring needs and provide strategic insight on candidate selection.
* Managing the end-to-end recruitment cycle, from forecasting hiring numbers to delivering candidate feedback, while maintaining a highly personalised approach.
* Ensuring all early careers initiatives support a diverse pipeline of future talent.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
* Experience in early careers recruitment (graduate, apprenticeship, or internship programmes).
* Strong knowledge of the Scottish apprenticeship market and early careers landscape.
* Marketing & attraction experience, with the ability to create compelling campaigns.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and engage senior leaders.
* An adaptable and proactive mindset—able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
* A commitment to delivering a high-quality, tailored candidate experience.
This isn’t a typical early careers role. Unlike large-scale, high-churn recruitment environments, this position allows for a personalised and strategic approach—every hire matters, and candidate experience is paramount. You’ll have the autonomy to shape the function while working closely with a supportive team in an organisation that values innovation, flexibility, and excellence.
