Commercial law firm in London is looking to recruit two Restructuring & Insolvency lawyers – one of 1 to 4 years’ PQE and the other of 5 or more years’ PQE. The successful candidate will undertake predominantly non contentious work linked into the firm’s corporate, finance and real estate teams, amongst others, helping with advice to all stakeholders in distressed situations including lenders, investors, corporates, directors and individuals, in addition to acting for insolvency practitioners. The types of matters you can expect to work on include: • Business turnaround and refinancing • Preparation of contractual documentation in relation to sales of businesses by office holder • Preparation of contractual documentation in relation to secured lending by distressed lenders • Advisory work for directors of distressed companies • Corporate insolvency and Companies Act offences • Personal Insolvency • Directors' duties & responsibilities.
You will develop strong working relationships across the firm and with a wide variety of clients and maintain strong case and document management. It is also important that you keep up to date with trends in the restructuring and insolvency world. Participation in the marketing and business development of the firm’s practice, and in particular the Restructuring & Insolvency offering, including writing articles and blogs, contributing towards seminars and meeting with prospective and current clients and referrers is also important.
