Our adult community services teams deliver care at the heart of the local communities we serve, working in partnership with GPs, local authorities and other healthcare and voluntary sector organisations. This post has been created to offer bespoke specialist training in skin cancer diagnosis and management. The post is designed to offer experience managing patients with complex/advanced melanoma and challenging non-melanoma skin cancer. It will also allow successful candidates to maintain exposure to general dermatology, general skin lesion clinics, have a dedicated biopsy list and the opportunity to be involved in research. You will be part of a large, consultant-led multi-disciplinary team.
This post is aimed at candidates seeking further experience managing patients with skin cancer - both simple and complex. Although there is a weekly surgical list to maintain and develop your surgical skills, it is not a surgical fellowship. After completion of the fellowship, it should equip candidates with the clinical skills to lead a skin cancer service.

St John's provides a comprehensive general dermatology service, as well as a wide range of multi-disciplinary specialist services. Its primary role is the delivery of excellence in clinical service, education and training, research and development in Dermatology. These functions are undertaken in both clinical and academic settings. On the academic side the Institute offers two postgraduate degrees in Dermatology and makes an important contribution to the Biomedical School as part of the Division of Genetics and Molecular Medicine, GKT School of Medicine, King's College London. GSTT and KCL provide one of only five Biomedical Research Centres in the UK and cutaneous medicine is the only BRC funded dermatology theme in the UK.
