Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate individual to play a pioneering role at Royal Papworth Hospital. This new role will complement the Service Manager in Surgery and Transplant, Transplant Data Manager, bookings team and secretarial teams. This role is pivitol in ensuring the principles of the 18-week target and RTT and being applied and adhered to, as well as providing a high quality, patient focussed and efficient data management service within the STA Directorate The successful candidate will assist, support and effectively co-ordinate the patient journey along the RTT pathway, patient records, RTT data, providing accurate and validated reports on patient status. The post holder will be responsible to the Service Manager in Surgery and Transplant and will work closely with the Data Manager, secretary and booking teams to ensure that patients are managed on their pathways. The post holder will link with the Transplant data manager to ensure data accuracy and report validation. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual. Main duties of the job To have a good understanding of the national RTT 18 week wait pathways and to assist with navigating patients through their pathways within these principles. To effectively act on the outcomes from out patient appointments and updates to the patient status on the 18 week RTT Collate, monitor and update the Patient Tracking List ensuring all actions are completed and followed up, and producing the transplant waiting list and amend as required Co-ordinate and communicate complex information with Administrative staff across multiple departments for updates in patients pathway Data extraction, scrutinization and analysis from various patient management systems to collate latest updates and outstanding actions for RTT and PTL and Microsoft Access for transplant data reports as requested To proactively monitor patient's progress along their RTT pathway To facilitate with the collection and input of data to Trust systems for RTT & Transplant following set procedures Responsible for managing, monitoring and entering into databases for patients on RTT & Transplant pathways To produce data submissions, these include registrations to the Transplant waiting list and returns to NHS Blood and Transplant National Database To input Transplant and Donor data at 3 month and annual intervals to meet National audit requirements Extraction of data from MS Access to produce reports as requested Update electronic patient records in accordance with RTT About us Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is the UK's leading heart and lung hospital, delivering care to more than 50,000 patients a year in its new state-of-the-art hospital in Cambridge.
