Role: Senior Account Handler
Salary: £50,000
Location: Derbyshire
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Account Handler to join our client. As a Senior Account Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of a commercial insurance broker. You will work closely with Insurers and clients to provide exceptional service and support, while managing a portfolio of accounts.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored insurance solutions.
* Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring all details are accurate and up-to-date.
* Collaborate with underwriters and other stakeholders to negotiate terms and conditions for insurance policies.
* Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and changes in the insurance market to provide proactive advice to clients.
* Handle inquiries, claims, and other client requests in a timely and professional manner.
* Contribute to the growth of the business through cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
* Mentor and support junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in commercial insurance, with a strong understanding of the brokerage environment.
* Proven track record of managing client relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with stakeholders.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
* Proficiency in using insurance management systems and Microsoft Office suite.
* Relevant professional qualifications such as ACII or equivalent would be advantageous.
Day-to-Day
* Communicating with brokers and clients to understand their insurance needs and provide suitable solutions.
* Managing a portfolio of accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all records.
* Collaborating with underwriters and other stakeholders to negotiate terms and conditions for insurance policies.
* Staying updated on industry trends and changes in the insurance market to provide proactive advice to clients.
* Handling inquiries, claims, and other client requests in a timely and professional manner.
* Contributing to the growth of the business through identifying cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
* Mentoring and supporting junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
