Cover Supervisor Aberdare Immediate Start – Part-time/Full-time Daily Rate of £100 to £120 Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor in the Aberdare area for one of our partnership schools. The successful applicant will be covering lessons in a Secondary School and educating KS3 and KS4 students. The position is initially on a part-time basis covering sickness and absences, however there is potential for the right person to move into a more full-time position as the resident Cover Supervisor for the school if the candidate wishes. The position is available to start immediately and therefore interviews are being held online over the next week. What does a Cover Supervisor do? Deliver pre-set lessons to classes Take class register at the beginning of every lesson Manage challenging behaviour in class Safeguard and ensure student wellbeing Communicate with line-management in school What is Required to be a Cover-Supervisor? Minimum 5 GCSEs in core subjects Enthusiasm for learning No formal educational qualifications Enhanced DBS available on the Update Service (Teaching Personnel can help with this) Valid registration with the EWC (Teaching Personnel can help with this) The school is based in the Aberdare area and boasts some phenomenal facilities after a multi-million-pound development. The successful applicant will be working alongside multiple departments in the Secondary School, working as part of a team and having a sufficient support network of subject teachers. The position is on a part-time basis, but due to the nature of COVID absences there may be potential for the successful applicant to take on a more full-time position with the school covering each day.
