The Senior Engineer will report to the Deputy Head of Estates and have responsibility and accountability for ensuring that Trust premises are safe for patients, staff, and visitors. This role is a senior member of the Estates and Facilities Management (EFM) team with professional accountability for estate building fabric, and strong emphasis on operational management of the engineering infrastructure and maintenance teams.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Engineer will support and deputise for the Deputy Head of Estates across all areas of their work and will be responsible for the day-to-day Hard FM operational management of buildings and engineering services, including managing maintenance, engineering functions, sustainability, energy, Health and Safety, and backlog maintenance.
The post-holder will be professionally qualified and have experience in the areas of: water safety, LV/HV electrical systems, ventilation systems, medical gases, lifts, pressure systems, confined spaces, management of asbestos, management of contractors, asset management in leading and managing estate teams and contractors.
The post-holder will support the E&F team in the development of the Estates Strategy utilising the latest ERIC data alongside key information from National Policy standards, HTM/HBN guidance, and industry best practice.
The post-holder will have a key role in leading Hard FM aspects of the Trust's FM Transformation Programme which will create an EFM service that is fit for the future.
Salary
£59,490 to £66,239 a year per annum including HCAS
