Are you a skilled and compassionate nurse with experience in managing lymphedema? We are seeking a dedicated Lymphedema Nurse to join our team and provide specialized care to patients suffering from this condition. With a competitive pay rate of £60 per hour, this role offers an excellent opportunity for a healthcare professional looking to make a significant impact on patients' quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess and diagnose patients with lymphedema.
2. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including manual lymphatic drainage, compression therapy, exercise, and skin care.
3. Educate patients and their families on self-care techniques to manage symptoms effectively.
4. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
5. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
7. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families.
Requirements:
Ideally, a Lymphedema Specialist, but we will also consider:
8. Practice NurseDistrict NurseTissue Viability Nurse (TVN)Experience with compression bandages and cancer care is essential.
9. Specialized training or certification in lymphedema management.
10. Proven experience working with lymphedema patients.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
13. Compassionate, patient-focused approach.
14. Please also bear in mind our £250 referral fee bonus for any nurse you refer who we place in to work on a 3 month contract.
We also offer a £400 sign up bonus for any new nurses that register with our agency. This will be paid in your first pay packet.
