Cooper Recruitment are looking for a Chartered Surveyor on the behalf of their client in Glasgow. Supporting the Markets manager in managing a portfolio stalls whilst ensuring all leases are met. As part of this role you will be responsible for reviewing all expenditure, recharges, maximising income and improving performance across wholesale and retail operations.

Your typical day will look like this:
* Oversee income and expenses for assigned properties, negotiating favourable terms with agents and tenants.
* Handle landlord and tenant issues, including rent reviews, lease renewals, rent arrears, and new lettings.
* Provide expert advice and manage service charge accounting across commercial properties.
* Prepare and adjust service charge budgets as needed.
* Prepare accurate budgets for estates, reflecting expected costs.
* Monitor budget performance and report to senior management.
* Collaborate with City Property Glasgow, Glasgow City Council, and other partners, sharing knowledge and expertise.
* Create and present management and committee reports with professional advice and recommendations.
* Develop a strong understanding of the property portfolio.
* Manage workload efficiently, ensuring tasks are completed effectively.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and risk management procedures.
* Stand in for the Markets Manager as needed.
* Provide out-of-hours support for operational incidents.
Education, Qualifications & Training
* Chartered Surveyor – MRICS
* Driving Licence
* Experience of Property Management Systems
* Strong negotiation skills
* Current market knowledge and technical skills
* Knowledge of commercial property asset management, development and investment
* Experienced in Property reporting for development opportunities
