We have a fantastic opportunity for an Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team based in Wellington, Somerset.
An Ambulance Care Assistant (ACA) is a rewarding role focused on transporting elderly, sick, and vulnerable service users to and from medical appointments and healthcare facilities. This role may involve working in two-person crews or alone, so a full UK driving licence and good physical fitness are essential.

Other duties include:
* Transporting 'end of life' service users with empathy
* Building rapport with patients and relatives
* Lifting, securing, and assisting patients in and out of the ambulance
* Handover of patients at treatment centers or homes
* Transferring patients between beds, chairs, or during flights
* Assisting with challenging behavior and mental health issues
* Maintaining ambulance safety, cleanliness, and organization
Minimum requirements:
* Commitment to patient care
* Effective communication skills, especially in emotional situations
* Calm, careful driver with no more than three penalty points
* Teamwork and collaboration skills
* Physical fitness for patient handling
* Pass an Enhanced DBS check (company funded)
* Flexibility to work shifts
* Familiarity with the local area
