About this opportunity:
We are looking for a Programme Manager to deliver our ambitious and exciting portfolio of Transformation programmes and projects for Cumberland Council.
In this role you will be part of the Council’s Programme Management Office (PMO) which comprises a team of multi-disciplinary project and programme managers that support the delivery of a range of projects and programmes for Cumberland Council.
This role will support the delivery of the Council’s Transformation programmes to include a broad portfolio of projects, including: delivery of the service disaggregation following Local Government Reorganisation, establishment of new and improved work processes and customer experiences, implementation of Cumberland Council’s operating model and new ways of working, driving efficiencies and commercial opportunities aligned to the Council’s medium term financial plan, support the emerging devolution programme and collectively deliver the Council’s strategic priorities.
We are looking for:
* Experience coordinating, leading and managing organisation-wide transformation programmes and projects, and delivering change in a large, complex organisation.
* Experience of working with senior managers, including motivating and managing multi-disciplinary teams, people management, change management, strategic planning, and performance management.
* A track record of delivering service improvements and reducing service costs.
* Experience of leading cultural and behavioural change in support of new ways of working, to improve the experience or outcomes for the customer.
* Highly developed communication, influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences a clear commitment to excellent customer service.
* Relevant degree, or equivalent training in related discipline or significant experience in a similar role.
