Main duties of the job
We are a dispensing practice providing GMS services to a mixed practice population of around 6,700 patients in North Walsham and the villages in the surrounding area. We are part of North Norfolk NN2 PCN.
We require someone who is a teamplayer, professional, courteous and efficient. Excellent people handling skills,enthusiasm and ability to work under pressure are all essential.
Supportinglocal care homes, making home visits, holding a patient list, and taking turnsas Duty GP, are all expected.

Oursalaried GPs are not expected to form part of the extended access rota.
The Town hasmany amenities, is surrounded by countryside, and is within easy access of Norwich.And the coast is just 5 miles away!
Job responsibilities
Core responsibilities
Below is an indication of responsibilities but there may be on occasions, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent uponfactors such as workload and staffing levels:
a. The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
b. Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
c. Effective management of long-term conditions
d. Processing of administration in a timely manner including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
e. On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
f. Accept responsibility for a specialist interest within the organisation, e.g., dermatology
g. Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
h. Contribute to the effective management of the organisation including administration, planning, strategy, BRPs etc.
i. Identify, implement and embed best practice through clinical guidelines and the audit process
j. Prepare and complete the revalidation process
k. Contribute to the training of medical students from all clinical disciplines

a. Participate in practice audits as requested by the audit lead

c. Participate in the review of significant and near-miss events applying a structuredapproach i.e., root cause analysis (RCA)
d. Drive the development of enhanced services within the organisation, liaising withexternal agencies and professional organisations as required
