About the Role
Electrical Technician (Saffron Walden with travel around the region
You will be responsible for the day to day electrical maintenance and testing on the Pipeline System, working safely and methodically to ensure that all facilities, plant and equipment are maintained in an efficient working manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Liaising with technical colleagues you will provide resolution of defects, changes in the operation of specific plant items and information in response to a maintenance alert.
* You will also be accountable for updating computer maintenance management system (CMMS).
* In addition, you will carry out regular maintenance of LV distribution small power and lighting, emergency lighting and fire alarm testing and Electrical periodic inspection and testing to BS 7671 and BS 60079 including Hazardous area electrical inspection and testing work in accordance with procedures.
About You
With 5 C Grade GCSEs or equivalent you will understand the reasons for and application of a variety of safety management processes such as Permit to Work, Safety Critical Tasks and Risk Assessments. With excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude, you will hold CompEx, 2394 and 2395 and 17th Edition IEE Regulations and be BS7671 qualified. Due to the nature of our business and this role you will need to available for overtime when required for out of hours breakdowns and emergencies. A clean driving licence is essential.
