As part of our ongoing pursuit of excellence, we will be kicking off a significant Transformation Project to introduce S/4HANA, and as such we have created several positions to support this enterprise project (Project Nexus) Role Purpose: The S/4HANA Data Migration Architect is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the migration of data from legacy systems to the new SAP S/4HANA ERP system. This role requires extensive experience in data migration strategies, a deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA, and strong project management skills. The Data Migration Lead will work closely with functional and technical teams to ensure that data is accurately and efficiently migrated, with minimal disruption to business operations. This position offers the opportunity to work on a high-impact ERP transformation project with exposure to cutting-edge SAP technologies. The role is critical to ensuring that the organization leverages S/4HANA to drive business value and operational efficiency. Key Accountabilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive data migration strategy that aligns with the overall S/4HANA ERP transformation objectives. Conduct a detailed assessment of legacy data sources to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and gaps. Oversee the design and development of ETL processes to extract data from legacy systems, transform it according to mapping rules, and load it into the S/4HANA system. Implement data quality assurance processes to validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency during and after migration. Develop and manage a detailed project plan for data migration, tracking progress against key milestones and deliverables. Coordinate with IT teams, including database administrators and developers, to ensure technical readiness for data migration. Ensure comprehensive documentation of data migration processes, including data mapping, transformation logic, and validation procedures. Provide post-migration support to address any data-related issues that arise after the go-live of the S/4HANA system Key requirements: Proven experience in leading data migration efforts in large-scale SAP implementation projects. Strong knowledge of SAP data migration tools such as SAP Data Services, SAP Migration Cockpit, and LSMW. Expertise in data mapping, ETL processes, and data quality management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on attention to detail. Excellent project management skills, with experience in managing complex, multi-phase data migration projects. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
