As part of the Waste and Resource Recovery team you will work with a team of dedicated, innovative and award winning professionals who provide waste and recycling services, waste planning and promote waste avoidance and resource recovery within our City. About the role The Manager Support Officer reports directly to the Head of Waste & Resource Recovery (WARR), providing corporate support to both the Head of WARR, all people leaders in the Department as well as the Administration team. The role is responsible for managing escalated and formal customer enquiries, ensuring governance and probity across management correspondence and record keeping and undertaking general administrative tasks. The role also undertakes checking of systems and testing of new programs to support the Department in keeping abreast of technology progressions. Essential criteria A TAFE qualification in Secretarial/Office Administration/Business Management or equivalent qualification or extensive relevant experience Demonstrated experience in office administration and personal assistance, and in maintaining confidentiality Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to provide high levels of accuracy and attention to detail Proven strong Microsoft Office skills (in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Internet and email) Desirable criteria Knowledge of the functions of Local Government and/or previous experience in Local Government Commencing salary: $76,329 per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation.
