Job Description
Experienced Venue Based Charity Fundraiser
A unique opportunity for high-quality in-store charity fundraisers.
What do experienced in-store fundraisers need to be successful and happy?
1. Good locations with foot traffic, the right demographics, and within reasonable distances.
2. A good fresh cause with real appeal to the public and that also feels worthwhile to the fundraiser and makes a real difference.
3. A good company that acts with honesty and transparency, treats fundraisers with respect, and pays a fair rate for the work.
The Fundraising Partnership can offer you all of these:
1. Partnership arrangements with the best booking agencies, guaranteeing bookings in premium supermarkets and other venues week in and week out.
2. Great charity partners, including Alzheimers Society and other compelling human health charities.
3. Good pay and conditions, working to the highest standards in the sector with outstanding training and support and a great company culture.
We need to recruit high-quality fundraisers to add to our existing team and help us significantly increase the money we raise for our charity partners from regular donation programmes.
We have a great portfolio of venues to work in:
Due to our partnerships with outstanding companies that source bookings, we are working in major supermarkets and other premium private site venues and events across the areas served by Alzheimers Society, with the venue capacity to sustain a larger fundraising team.
We work on behalf of a great cause:
The role involves working as a face-to-face charity fundraiser within major retail stores on behalf of Alzheimers Society.
Dementia is the biggest health and social challenge of our time, with an estimated 900,000 people in the UK affected. Many are undiagnosed and facing the realities of their condition alone. Alzheimers Society, with the help of their supporters, is changing that.
Alzheimer's Society provides vital support to those who need it most, holds decision-makers accountable, and funds groundbreaking research to transform the future for everyone living with dementia.
How you can make a difference:
A typical charity fundraiser will raise more than £400,000 for the charity every year they work. Thus, through your professionalism, integrity, and hard work, you could raise more than £2 million for charities over five years. Regular donation programmes are vital to keeping these charities going.
This is a great opportunity:
We are building a sustainable model where fundraisers can work in great venues regularly without exhausting those venues, have high-quality advanced bookings, avoid excessive travel time or constant overnight stays, and specialize in promoting a small number of genuinely worthwhile charity causes that resonate with the public.
There is a unique window of opportunity for the right calibre of fundraisers to join our team at this moment, delivering exactly what good fundraisers have always wanted. If you are tired of working a rota of venues and causes that have been overworked or are uncertain about your work location, consider giving yourself a fresh start. If you relish working to the highest standards, this is the perfect moment to become part of The Fundraising Partnership.
