Permanent Based in High Wycombe We are looking for a Biochemistry Technician to join us in our Allergens and Authenticity team at our laboratory in High Wycombe. To excel in this role, you'll need to be an enthusiastic and agile individual with a solid theoretical understanding of Biochemistry. This role requires someone who has good organisational skills, is able to question and ask 'why', has good laboratory practical skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. As our next Biochemistry Technician, you'll be a key part of our testing facility and will be instrumental in determining if test materials meet specification and comply with the agreed standards. The Role Log samples, collect data, make measurements, and take action following the set guidelines. Carry out ELISA and PCR based testing, operating all relevant equipment. Relates own tasks to the delivery of Premier Foods Quality Management goals. Supports a continuous improvement directive Perform required measurements and interpret findings. Carry out activities in accordance with internally approved protocols and ISO17025 accreditation. Apply test protocols to each sample type correctly. Use analytical techniques to analyse raw materials, finished products and report against agreed standard. Undertake development projects under the supervision of the line / project manager. Gather, consolidate, analyse, and report data effectively using IT packages where applicable. Key Requirements Essenital: Formal training in Biochemistry or Analytical Chemistry with practical experience of working in a laboratory Organised, motivated team player Good communication skills Desirable: Experience in Food Science Whilst some previous experience is necessary, full training is provided to gain the extent of knowledge required to perform at the expected level within our Technical Centre.
