Your main duties will be: -To support children’s learning. -To share in the care and wellbeing of the children throughout the school. -To support the emotional, behavioural and pastoral needs of all pupils, including children with SEN. This post is a customer-facing position and falls within the scope of the Code of Practice on English Language Requirement for Public Sector Workers. The school has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the JD/Person Specification. These will be applied during the recruitment/selection and probationary stages. To undertake all of the following: -Work as part of a team. -To promote the development of numeracy, language and speech. -Be aware of and support school policies and procedures. -Liaise and plan with the SENCO/class teacher -Work or play with individuals/small groups of children by planning and carrying out relevant activities. -Assist the SENCO/class teacher by receiving instructions directly from professional or specialist support staff. -Report any concerns regarding children’s welfare or education. -Be aware of suspected or actual cases of child abuse, report to DSL. -Assist with maintaining good discipline throughout the school at all times.
