We’re looking for a skilled Key Account Manager who has experience managing key accounts with a spend of over £5M in the Fresh Food Category. The right candidate will ideally need to have a packaging background in Labels, Carton Board, or Flexibles. This role will involve travel, predominately, but not exclusively being in the North of England.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage high profile or key accounts
* KAP Planning
* Cross-sell for all business units and communicate the total Coveris group offer
* Work with clients with diverse needs
* Negotiate terms with discretion within policy guidelines
* Prepare tenders for submission to the commercial team
* Negotiate contracts using your own initiative
* Develop plans to improve financial metrics for individual accounts
* Gain insights into customer needs
* Develop solutions to meet customer needs
* Establish and maintain strong customer relationships at the day-to-day level
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with decision makers and influencers
* Negotiate and operate across all levels of customers
* Plan and prepare for meetings and meet with customers without senior involvement
* Present effectively to large groups (30+), both internally and externally
* Present to customers regarding corporate and group structure
* Build bespoke presentations to show customer needs
* Write clear reports to customers and internal colleagues
* Provide support to new or junior members of the sales team
* Consistently achieve results and work hard in tough circumstances, not afraid to try something new
* Plan the week effectively to maximize external call activity and revenue generation
* Set own budget, monitor and review regularly, and foresee negatives and positives
* Ensure initiatives are followed through and delivered as expected

Person Specification
* Excellent communicator (written and verbal) at all levels within client and internal arenas
* Commercially aware
* Trustworthy and able to hold information in confidence
* Strong commercial execution
* Demonstrate selling skills
* Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
* Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the packaging industry
* Ability to manage multiple projects and relationships
