Religious Studies sits at the very heart of our Humanities Curriculum, and what it is to be human – to live in a diverse society, to pursue answers to Big Life Questions, to understand how what we believe impacts upon what we will and will not tolerate in life. We are looking for two passionate teachers to deliver an aspirational, challenging and inclusive curriculum; teachers with a love for the purpose and rightful place of RS for young adults; teachers who are excited at the prospect of delivering brave RS in a dynamic and, all faiths or none, Academy.

The role and what we are looking for
We are looking for two teachers who can help bring RS to life through engaging and exciting lessons. You will support the Curriculum Leader, to develop the department, with plenty of opportunity to make your mark. We need teachers who will set high expectations for teaching and learning, inspire students to love learning, and challenge our young people to think in new ways. You must be willing to model and support the Oasis ethos.
Our Academy
We are a secondary school in Oldham, Greater Manchester that opened in 2018 and are dedicated to supporting our young people to reach their potential. We leave no child behind; our progress data is strong and it is attributed to the hard work of our staff and students. We work together, sharing this educational journey with a common goal - developing happy and successful leaders who are culturally enriched role models in our community. Being part of the Oasis Community Learning multi-academy trust, we benefit from support and sharing of best practice from our regional schools, Regional Director and wider Oasis family.
We opened the Academy in 2018, with just 230 students across two year groups. In November 2020 we moved into our permanent home and currently serve 1,260 students. We will be at full capacity with 1500 students in September 2025. We are a school of choice within Oldham and are rated 'Good' by Ofsted (see Ofsted report here ).
