GSL Education’s Hull branch is working with a client secondary school in Willoughby to appoint a Geography Teacher ASAP. This position is open for both Fully Qualified and Early Career Teachers. The potential applicant is expected to contribute to creating a positive learning environment to enhance effective learning.

Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver Key Stage 3 and GCSE Geography lessons.
* Scaffold and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
* Support and enthuse learners to reach their full potential.
* Work with teachers across the Humanities department to ensure progress is made.
* Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
* Contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
Geography Teacher Requirements:
* Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through a PGCE in Secondary Geography, B.Ed. with QTS, or equivalent.
* Experience teaching GCSE Geography within the last 2 years; A-Level experience is desirable but not essential.
* Be able to provide relevant references from within the last 2 years. Placements for ECTs will be accepted.
* Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.
