Workshop Supervisor
Our Client is the largest undercarriage parts supplier and manufacturer in the UK with over 50 years' experience in the industry.
An exciting opportunity has organically arisen to join their Track Shop team in a hands-on supervisory capacity.
Reporting to and working closely with the Track Shop Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for up to 6 Workshop Operatives. This will involve:
1. Ensuring Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
2. Daily, weekly, monthly planning of jobs using their in-house systems and Excel spreadsheets.
3. Setting and working to job timelines.
4. Communicating workload and schedules to the Workshop Operatives.
5. Monitoring Workshop Operatives' performance and attendance.
6. Working alongside Workshop Operatives to set up job lines.
7. 60% + of time will be hands-on working on service and repair lines.
This role will suit candidates with a mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent, with a strong understanding of health and safety. Previous experience in a supervisory capacity is essential.
Salary and Benefits:
£35k - £38K
Paid overtime available
Company 4% contributory pension scheme
