Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Adoption & Kinship Team to work Full Time based in Barking & Dagenham.
The salary for this Social Worker job is up to £47,532 per annum.
Main duties:
1. To act as a member of a social work team providing social work services to children and their families, with the purpose of safeguarding and promoting their welfare within the context of Special Guardianship and Adoption.
2. All post holders are expected to maintain professional standards of practice and to work in accordance with Social Work England standards and the Division’s values, strategic objectives, procedures, and managerial guidance.
3. With appropriate supervision, assess and provide services to children and families in need within the framework of relevant law, legislation, and national and local guidance.
4. To undertake high-quality, analytical care and pathway plans within statutory timescales, which are reflective of presenting concerns and responsive to identified unmet needs and/or risks.
5. To undertake practice which is analytical and reflective, ensuring the child’s voice is consistently heard and recorded.
6. Working within London Child Protection Procedures to undertake key work responsibilities for children looked after by the Local Authority who are deemed to be at risk.
7. Working with Care Planning Regulations 2010, and in accordance with the Children & Families Act 2014, to execute statutory duties to children in care.
8. To enhance and promote continuing professional development in accordance with the Professional Capabilities Framework and registration requirements of the HCPC. To undertake appropriate training and keep abreast of changes in legislation, divisional procedures, and developments in professional practice.
9. To contribute to the planning and development of the service provided by the team and promote the improvement of standards and quality assurance.
10. To use ICT and ICS as required to maintain accurate case records and be able to report on key performance management data.
11. To ensure that your Line Manager is kept fully appraised of any concerns arising from caseload and seek advice as and when necessary.
Requirements of this Social Worker job:
1. A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
2. Understanding of relevant legislation.
3. Registered or eligible for registration.
