Job Description As a Project Management Framework Lead within AECOM’s London Project Management Team, you will be working with a Regional Director to lead a team delivering and managing large-scale built environment and construction projects from initiation to completion. You’ll ensure their successful delivery while using your expertise to mentor a substantial team of professionals and win further commissions from new and existing clients. Your role will involve independently overseeing projects and business activities, guiding junior team members, and leading client and consultant relationships. Additionally, you will lead business development activities and contribute your expertise to AECOM's team, technical practice boards and organisational growth. Key Responsibilities Lead and Deliver: Drive project delivery on our project management commissions to meet time, budget, and quality requirements, while fostering collaboration among clients, consultants, contractors, and team members. Use your experience to take responsibility for our service delivery on large-scale projects. Client-Centric Excellence: Strengthen client relationships by delivering exceptional service, aligning project outcomes with client objectives and contributing to the business’ growth. Project Directors in our team have work-winning responsibility and are expected to be market-facing. Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and support Associates, project managers and early career members of our team in their career development, contribute to talent development initiatives and champion a positive, high-performance team culture. Industry Engagement and Growth: Lead bids and business development activities, engage with industry forums and networking events, and take ownership of your professional growth and knowledge-sharing within the organisation. Skills and Experiences Extensive experience (10 years) and technical knowledge in project management within the built environment or construction industry. Experience leading projects and client relationships with executive support – self-directed and experienced in project delivery. Outstanding communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple or major projects, workstreams, clients and stakeholders. Inclusive leadership skills and relationship management expertise. Proven work-winning experience in a consultancy environment. Strong internal team leadership skills and ability to bring large internal teams together. Well-developed client account management skills and an established network of clients and consultants in the local market. Passionate about delivering high-quality consulting services, and comfortable in the role of lead consultant. Able to mentor teams and support people at all grades in their career development. Lead on enhancing elements of our best-practice approach to project management. Able to lead major bids, including strong commercial acumen and understanding of consultancy pricing structures. Be proactive, solution-oriented and adaptable to changing circumstances. Lead elements of team management functions, including line management and business development. Ability to support the development of colleagues, particularly towards professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB, APM).
