Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team.
About the Role
You will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks, including reporting and analysis. You will work closely with junior members of the finance team and act as a finance expert to stakeholders within finance, the wider business and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining and reviewing accounting reconciliations
* Providing financial data to budget-holders
* Helping to produce finance process documentation
* Performing other ad-hoc financial administration tasks as required
Additional Tasks
* Month End Close: Post journals and ensure accurate reporting of any assigned business units as well as overheads
* Providing commercial guidance and ensuring accurate accounting for contracts within any assigned business units
* Responding to questions from suppliers, customers and employees regarding invoices, expenses and finance processes
* VAT return and Audit schedule preparation
* Performing any ad-hoc tasks
Requirements
* Fully Qualified Accountant with a recognised body such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA
* Understanding of key accounting and financial policies
* Previous experience using accounting software - Oracle would be advantageous
* Strong Excel skills – confident using formula and pivot tables to manage data and work efficiently
