Position Overview
Joining the team at ProsperOps as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) presents an exciting opportunity for those passionate about technology and eager to make a significant impact in the rapidly evolving FinOps landscape.
As an SDR at ProsperOps, you will be at the heart of our sales operations, playing a crucial role in driving our business forward. Your primary focus will be on identifying and engaging potential clients, nurturing leads, and laying the groundwork for long-term customer relationships. This position is not just about sales; it's about being a key contributor to our mission of transforming cloud cost management.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute strategies for lead generation and sales outreach.
* Be the first point of contact for potential clients, representing ProsperOps and its values.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with company goals.
* Engage in continuous learning about our products and the cloud FinOps market.
* Attend technology & market relevant conferences to spread the ProsperOps brand and initiate new customer relationships.
* Conduct targeted research to identify key prospects within our ICP.
* Generate prospecting lists of decision-makers in target accounts using Apollo.io.
* Reach out to potential clients through cold calling, cold emailing, and social media platforms for social selling and generating new leads.
* Book outbound meetings through various outreach methods, including cold calls, LinkedIn and other platforms.
* Coordinate meetings or demos between potential clients and the sales team.
* Develop and maintain a strong understanding of ProsperOps' products and services to effectively communicate their value.
* Qualify leads based on specific criteria, such as total cloud spend and potential needs for cost optimization.
* Manage relationships with warm leads and deliver relevant marketing content to prospects.
* Collaboratively work with sales, marketing, and revenue operations teams to align strategies and optimize outreach efforts.
* Track and manage prospect interactions and follow-ups within the HubSpot and Apollo.io.
* Participate in regular training and development sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
* Provide feedback to the marketing team on lead generation quality and campaign effectiveness.
* Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic approaches.
* Contribute to the refinement of sales pitches and materials based on prospect interactions and outcomes.
* Actively listen to prospects during interactions to better understand their needs and tailor the sales approach.
* Demonstrate creativity in outreach methods, such as using video prospecting and LinkedIn voice notes.
Required Experience/Skills
* Prior sales development experience, particularly in technology or cloud-based services selling to technical engineering or FinOps Leaders, is highly advantageous.
* Industry knowledge of cloud computing and financial management, or a willingness to learn.
* A foundational understanding of CRM tools (HubSpot, Apollo.io) to efficiently track and manage customer interactions and sales processes.
* Proficiency in phone communication, prospecting, and interpersonal skills, crucial for engaging and building relationships with prospects.
* Exceptional written and oral communication abilities, essential for effectively conveying the value of ProsperOps' solutions to potential clients.
* Strong organizational and analytical skills to manage and interpret prospect data and sales opportunities.
* A robust work ethic and the confidence to operate independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain robust relationships with the sales teams, marketing teams, and other departments we work with cross functionally.
* Aptitude for multitasking and prioritizing workload to optimize efficiency and meet sales targets.
* Effective listening skills to understand and respond to prospect needs, ensuring a tailored and impactful sales approach.
* Excellent organizational skills to manage various tasks and responsibilities in a structured and efficient manner.
