As a Transport Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods and services, supporting the overall logistics and transport operations.
Key Responsibilities for a Transport Planner role:
1. You will need to plan and optimise transport routes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
2. You will monitor and manage the daily transport schedule, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
3. You will liaise with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise.
4. Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, vehicles, and transport schedules will be a key responsibility.
5. You will track and report on the performance of transport operations, identifying areas for improvement.
6. You are expected to ensure the efficient use of vehicles, making sure they are properly maintained and well-managed.
7. You will also manage any delays or operational issues, working to resolve them promptly and effectively.
Skills and Requirements for a Transport Planner:
1. You should have proven experience as a Transport Planner or in logistics coordination.
2. Strong organisational skills are essential, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must.
4. You will need to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
5. Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities are key.

Details of this Transport Planner role:
1. Salary: £28,000 per annum.
2. Temp to perm role.
3. Free onsite parking.
4. Rotational shift pattern 7:00-15:00 and 14:00-22:00 Monday to Friday.
