What youll do: Raw Material Inspection & Compliance – Oversee the inspection of incoming raw materials at unloading areas, ensuring compliance with FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) standards and company guidelines. Monitor proper sampling procedures and report any non-compliance to superiors. Storage & Organization Control – Ensure that incoming scrap paper is correctly stored as per procedures, in designated areas for easy access and compliance with FSC requirements. Process Monitoring & Laboratory Coordination – Track the laboratory analysis of raw materials, assess compliance with required specifications, and report any issues to the management. Workforce Supervision & Training –Supervise and oversee the workflow of the Incoming Quality Control team, addressing inefficiencies and ensuring smooth operations. Provide on-site training for new employees in the absence of the manager. Corrective & Preventive Actions – Lead and oversee the execution of corrective actions related to quality control, ensuring continuous improvement in raw material management. Assist with the optimisation of production processes whilst reducing waste and increasing efficiency. Equipment & Calibration Oversight – Ensure that laboratory devices used for quality control are calibrated on time and maintain proper functionality. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation – Implement and enforce FSC procedures, maintain quality control records, and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures. Operational Reporting & Communication – Prepare necessary reports related to material quality and inspection, communicate non-conformities, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Design and implementation – Assist with the design and implementation of quality measures, standards and corrective actions. What youll bring: Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or Equivalent. Minimum 2 years of experience in the paper industry or a similar field. Strong understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards. Knowledge of FSC standards and compliance procedures. Experience with quality control processes, laboratory testing, and raw material analysis. Ability to supervise and train teams effectively. Familiarity with Quality Management Software and other Quality Management Systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft office packages.
