Job description
The successful candidate will be an active member of the research project team in the design and development of an optimal care pathway for patients living with comorbid Acute coronary syndrome and Type 2 diabetes.
This is a temporary role to cover a period of maternity leave and will be based in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Queen’s University Belfast and will be required to liaise with the Western Health and Social Care Trust.
About the person:
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
* Have or be about to obtain* a relevant PhD in a health or other relevant discipline (e.g. nursing, social science, psychology, allied health, health services research). *PHD submitted by the closing date of the post.
* Significant, relevant research experience in nursing, health or social sciences, to include:
o Experience of research in chronic condition management/prevention/risk.
o Experience of recruiting study participants.
o Experience of conducting qualitative research.
o Have experience of conducting scoping/ systematic review(s).
o Have experience of PPI, specifically in establishing/co-ordinating project/study advisory/steering groups.
o Experience of presentations/dissemination of research findings at local, national or international level.

This post is available to 30 April 2025. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
