This includes direct engagement with customers, overseeing technical specifications, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. You will work on projects valued between £100k and £1 million+, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities:Project managementof electrical projects from inception to completion.Understanding customer requirementsand providing tailored solutions.Creation and verificationof electrical diagrams and wiring schematics (Single Line Diagrams, Keyline diagrams, AC/DC wiring, etc.).Technical documentationreviews (e.g., load schedules, cable calculations).Collaboration with production teamsto define material lists and component specifications.Technical supportfor internal teams (commercial, production, etc.).Providing expertiseon HV, LV, and Protection & Control matters.Leading projectsthrough manufacturing, testing, customer FATs, installation, and commissioning.Delivering trainingto internal colleagues and external customers.Developing engineering standardsand contributing to process improvements.Managing subcontractorsand reviewing third-party designs.Business development activitiesto enhance design processes and company procedures.Required Skills & Experience:6+ years of experiencein the electrical industry, ideally with a focus on33kV design .BEng in Electrical Engineeringor a related discipline.Knowledge of power system protection schemes(11kV & 33kV).Proficiency in AutoCADfor electrical schematics.Project management experiencehandling multiple projects simultaneously.Familiarity with UK standardsfor MV/HV electrical schematics.Protection & control systems designexperience aligned with UK DNO standards.Knowledge of protection relays(ABB, Schneider Electric, GE) and settings/PSL files.LV electrical installation knowledge(BS7671 18th Edition) is a plus.Awareness of relevant ENA standardsis advantageous.Flexible and adaptable approachto work and supporting colleagues.Willingness to traveloccasionally to sites and international locations (e.g., Spain).Basic knowledge of SAPis beneficial.Strong problem-solving skillsaligned with a solutions-driven mindset.Experience with numerical relay testing(e.g., Omicron CMC356) is an advantage.Customer interaction experience(e.g., managing FATs) is a plus.Diversity & InclusionWe are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
