An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented, enthusiastic individual to join our surgical division as a Senior Nurse for Critical care, inpatient and outpatient services incorporating our specialist Orthopaedic centre. We are looking for an innovative, compassionate leader that will help support and develop the current team while upholding the Trust Values.

The post holder will ensure ward sisters have adequate support to enable them to focus on their core responsibilities.

1. Degree level registered nurse
2. Educated to Masters level (or working towards)
3. Evidence of ongoing professional development in relevant area of speciality supplemented by specialist clinical, managerial training and CPD
4. Recognised teaching and assessing qualification
5. Leadership/management qualification or equivalent experience
Experience
Essential criteria
6. Experience of working within the specialty of critical care/acute care in a senior nursing role
7. Teaching, mentorship and supervision of staff
8. Practice development including policy development
9. Audit / research based nursing practice
