About The Role
As our Group Key Account Director, your primary responsibility will be to manage the accounts of Vp’s largest customers.
Reporting in to the Sales & Marketing Director, you will bring together the specialisms of all the Vp Group divisions to provide a collaborative, joined up proposition to our clients. You will develop strategy, work with divisional businesses and ensure that all internal and external stakeholders are managed at all levels. You will be targeted on ensuring that all divisions of Vp are represented equally and that all opportunities for growth are unearthed and developed.
Key Responsibilities
1. Effectively and holistically manage the existing portfolio of Vp key accounts.
2. Collaborate with divisional teams at all levels to ensure operational effectiveness, debt management, SLA compliance, developing accurate, tailored reporting.
3. Develop bespoke strategies for each of our key accounts, depending on their requirements and our equipment capabilities.
4. Internal and external stakeholder management – ensuring that our clients’ needs are met at all levels of their organisation.
5. Considered, targeted and meticulous contract negotiation.
6. Attend regular meetings and performance reviews with both internal and external stakeholders, providing bespoke reporting as required.
7. Ability to effectively identify new key accounts, proactively developing a successful strategy to enhance these opportunities.
8. Work closely with Group central functions to develop marketing and promotional material.
9. Develop a strong understanding of the Vp proposition and the equipment we are able to provide to our customers.
10. Fully responsible for the Balfour Beatty Hire Desk.
What We’re Looking For
1. Highly motivated with strong commercial acumen.
2. Very strong communicator and skilled negotiator.
3. Proven experience in presentation, influencing techniques and ability to overcome objections all necessary at a competently developed level.
4. Experience of working in a senior customer facing role.
5. Willing and comfortable working away from home in order to meet the national requirements of the role.
6. Experience of managing teams both in person and remotely.
7. Clear understanding of our market with ability to evidence this.
8. Strong written and verbal skills, including experience of report writing.
9. Experience of contract negotiation.
10. Experience in the Rental market - Desirable.
11. Competent use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
12. Demonstrable experience of business systems including CRM tools.
