We are seeking a committed and professional Learning Support Assistant to support our Year 4 class.
Role Overview:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play an integral role in supporting students within our Year 4 class, assisting the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences. The role involves providing tailored support to individuals and small groups, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, and supporting children with a range of learning needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, assisting with their academic development and ensuring they meet their learning objectives.
* Support children with diverse learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring that they receive the appropriate level of support.
* Assist the class teacher in the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons and learning activities.
* Encourage positive behavior and emotional well-being, promoting self-confidence and independence among students.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher to help inform planning and individual learning targets.
* Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
* Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for the children.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Previous experience working in a primary school setting, preferably supporting students in Key Stage 2.
* A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of the national curriculum, particularly within Key Stage 2, and knowledge of child development.
* Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is advantageous.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students and work effectively as part of a team.
* A proactive, adaptable, and positive attitude, with a passion for supporting children's learning and development.
* A current DBS check or the willingness to undertake one (we will assist in obtaining this if necessary).
