About Us
The North Adult Social Care Team works with people between the ages of 18+ who are eligible for support under the Care Act 2014. We are looking to appoint new staff members who have a genuine passion for improving people's lives by maximising their own and community's potential. We are a team made up of Coordinators, Occupational Therapists, and Social Workers. Over the past years, we have built a team that is resilient and creates unique opportunities for professional development across Oxfordshire County Council.
About the Role
This post is based in Adult Social Care, within the North locality, covering Banbury and surrounding villages. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is keen to work collaboratively across Adult Social Care, Health, and other partner agencies to achieve great changes in our community. We are proud to support our residents through a strength-based approach that creates opportunities, builds resilience, and develops long-term support networks so that people we support can live their lives as successfully, independently, and as safely as possible.
The post holder will receive full training through a specially developed Coordinator's Competency Framework training programme to deliver holistic strength-based interventions that explore equally people's social circumstances and their physical abilities. After successful completion of the framework, there are opportunities for Coordinators to be supported in undertaking apprenticeship or professional qualifications in either Social Work or Occupational Therapy. Thanks to our unique in-house training, support is always at hand, so passion and enthusiasm to work with people and bring about change is key.
The role requires the successful candidate to visit people's houses around Oxfordshire to undertake holistic assessments of individual needs, while also completing written reports and facilitating best support arrangements via available options.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to pursue a career in social care.
About You
We are looking for driven candidates that have excellent communication skills which would help them build professional relationships with the people that we work with, their families, and communities. As a team, we are supportive, creative, and most importantly, we are excited to welcome new members to our team.
You will have the passion to promote people's strengths and the ability to make a difference in their lives. In addition, you should have the ability to travel to and access a variety of premises across Oxfordshire and meet the requirements set out in the selection criteria within the job description.
